Does Premium Home Whitening Work?
Posted by writeradmin
I keep seeing offers for Premium Home Whitening. Do you know if this will actually work? I don’t have a ton of money so I don’t want to waste it, but I’m trying to find a job so I want to look better than I do now.

Dear Laura,
I was looking at the ingredients for this. One thing it has going for it is the whitening ingredient. It appears to use 35% carbamide peroxide. This is a valid whitening ingredient, which will whiten your teeth. I do have some concerns, though.
First, the blue light seems to be bogus. That makes me worry about the integrity of the company. I hope that is the only thing about their product that isn’t want they say it is.
The second thing that worries me is the whitening trays. It is not going to fit the way the trays a dentist would provide would. When you have professional teeth whitening done, the trays are custom-fitted to your bite. Why is that important? The trays serve a dual purpose. One is to keep the whitening gel on your teeth. The other is to keep your saliva out. Without that, the gel is so diluted that it will not be as effective. You will end up spending more money than you need to because you will have to purchase multiple kits to do the same thing that one batch would do through your dentist. I also worry that as the gel escapes it will irritate your gums.
While you can try this kit. I think you would be better served by talking to your dentist and asking if he would be willing to allow you to pay out the teeth whitening procedure. Your dentist may say no, or he may say yes. There is only one way to find out.
Best of luck on your job search!
