One dentist for the entire family
At the Dental House on Donnelly, a 100-year-old practice in Mt. Dora, Dr. Michelle Stillman welcomes patients of any age. Many families find comfort and convenience in having one office that can meet all their dental care needs.
A word on the pediatric dentist specialty
To qualify as a licensed pediatric dentist, a practitioner must complete two additional years of age-specific training following dental school. While Dr. Michelle Stillman is trained to address the basic dental needs of children, she is a general dentist rather than a pediatric dentist. Should your child require the advanced care of a pediatric specialist, Dr. Stillman will happily refer your family to a nearby office.
Dr. Stillman offers a range of services to pediatric patients including:
- preventative care such as sealants and fluoride treatments
- fillings for baby teeth
Your child’s first dental visit
We recommend that young patients come in for routine cleanings and exams beginning around two or three years of age, once all of their baby teeth have come in. Early visits to the dentist help to establish good habits by reinforcing healthy dental hygiene. Additionally, if kids only see the dentist when they are in pain, they may develop a stress reaction to regular examinations. Dental anxiety is common, but not necessary.
Patients of all ages are comforted by Dr. Michelle Stillman’s gentle touch and soft approach. Young patients especially enjoy her habit of singing while she is working.
